Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father was an educator at school and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick was an accomplished artist and singer from a young age. She would perform shows using puppets for the neighbors. Following her win in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from more than 1200 children to become the oldest of the three twins in The Brady Bunch TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The run of five years for the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. In the moment, she was 16 and he was 19. She told me that it could be possible, however it was never the best moment to make the decision.
