Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She was able to survive on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance in comparison to her peers. She began considering other options. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut record Diva. It came out in 1993. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's most loved soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on May 19, 2019. It is a collection comprised of four songs composed by Lennox. The E.P. is the companion album to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now, I'll let You Go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on the 25th of December 1954. After minor success as a member of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva produced many successful tracks, such as Why the World is Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album contains cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI I Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six album compilations and studio albums. |
